FRC 2025 Competition Robot

Elevator Design and Overall Robot Progrmaming

Jan 2025 - Apr 2025 Designed the elevator subsystem and determined overall robot geometry while also contributing to drivetrain and elevator code for the 2025 FRC Team 199 Competition Robot

Engineering Contributions

  • Elevator Design: Designed a cascading elevator which was the main system which the end effector depended on for getting to scoring positions. Utilized high-torque chain and sprocket transimission for motion.
  • Overall Programming: Developed and tuned closed-loop control systems for the drivetrain using PID control to characterize the drivetrian, making it fast and responsive. Also developed and tuned closed-loop control systems for the elevator, allowing for precise movement to different scoring positions.
  • Integration: Coordinated the master assembly and overall robot geometry in CAD, ensuring clearance and that the mechanisms fit within the robots starting frame.
